Well, which viz is it?

What’s the right chart type?

You need to be able to articulate why THIS chart versus THAT chart.

No more internal office debates to settle.

No more afternoons sunk into testing out every single graph type to see which one works.

No more launching your data into the world with that nagging feeling that it could have been graphed better – but how?

WHEN

This class is now over. But I’ll announce my next free class in my newsletter.

COME LEARN ABOUT:

✨ Chart types you probably haven’t seen before

πŸ™ˆ When they don’t work

😍 When they definitely do

πŸ’€ What you probably would have picked instead

πŸ’…πŸ½ How new charts make your team look so damn good

And I promise a showcase showdown worth of fun along the way. πŸŽ‰

EXPAND YOUR CHART LIBRARY

During Which Viz Is It?, we’ll walk through a dozen examples of the usual suspects – the charts everyone knows. Those defaults in every graphing software.

Most are fine.

If by “fine” you mean “totally forgettable.”

Some, even some made by major publications, are outright WRONG.

And you need to learn what wrong looks like so you don’t emulate it just because you saw it on Instagram.

AND you need to learn what’s right instead.

Plus, I’ll show you how the students in my online course use our Which Viz Quiz, a decision tree tool that walks you through all the different chart choices out there and helps you identify the right option for your particular data.

The Which Viz Quiz is a free resource for all of the students in my Data Visualization Academy – where we also have the step-by-step instructions (in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and R) on how to make all the charts I’ll show you in class.
